Chronology
Fleeing from her neglected family, 13-year-old Rita is placed in an oppressive state orphanage. Rita’s arrival brings a glimmer of hope to the girls living there, who prophesy that an angel will appear to free them. Encouraged by her, the girls plan an escape to regain their freedom and denounce the orphanage’s aggression.
