A TV series set in the “Dune” universe centered around the lives of the Bene Gesserit. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are the bedrock of science fiction. This series may be based on the novel Sister.
A reference to AniMat’s crazy cartoon Cast: The New Normal (2020)
Anderson. A prequel to the original Dune, it’s the first in the Great Schools of Dune trilogy, and it tells the story of how the Rosak sisters evolved into the Bene Gesserit. This first episode is almost a carbon copy of the first GOT episode.
The story really didn’t grab me until the end
It develops the plot and characters, and ends with a huge twist. So far, the pros Travis Fimmel in the show’s set-stealing scene are beautiful, Havens didn’t find any obvious problems with the Dune universe. Unresolved.
Not The Acolyte people, this show is actually decent
Cons The first 6 minutes were a voiceover explaining the story, which I personally think is a very lazy storytelling device. Other people complaining about the gender politics in Dune media really confuse me. Also, people complaining about it being about the sister thing is pretty crazy considering they are the main driving force behind the entire original source material at the beginning.
