It’s hard to imagine a more stylish, elegant, and sophisticated film about death before this latest work by Pedro Almodovar. My problem is that the film never finds the depth it should when dealing with such a serious and profound subject.
But the long dialogues seemed wooden and too formulaic for my taste
Should a person have the freedom and autonomy to decide for themselves whether it is time to end their life or not? Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore do their best to focus on this question, which characterizes a close friendship facing the last and most complex challenge of all.
